JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Marist University women's basketball team earned a gritty 48-45 win over Saint Peter's on Thursday evening at Run Baby Run Arena.

Freshman forward Justine Henry recorded her sixth double-double of the season, finishing with team highs of 14 points and 11 rebounds to go along with two assists and two steals. Senior captain guard Lexie Tarul added 12 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and a career-high five steals, while senior captain forward Ciara Croker chipped in 10 points and six rebounds.

The Red Foxes improves to 11-18 on the season and 8-11 in the MAAC, clinching a spot in the 2026 Air Force Reserve MAAC Women's Basketball Championships.
 

FIRST QUARTER

• Saint Peter's used a 9-0 run to take a 15-4 lead with 1:49 remaining in the opening frame.
• Marist trailed 17-6 after one.

SECOND QUARTER

• Five straight points from Henry cut the deficit to six (24-18) before the Peacocks responded with a 3-pointer to push the lead back to nine.
• The Red Foxes trailed 29-21 at halftime.

THIRD QUARTER

• Marist erupted for an 11-0 run to tie the game at 32-32 with under a minute to play in the quarter.
• Saint Peter's scored late to take a 34-32 lead into the fourth.

FOURTH QUARTER

• The Red Foxes opened the final frame on an 11-2 run to take a 43-36 lead at the 6:36 mark.
• Saint Peter's answered with an 8-0 run to regain the lead at 44-43 with 4:46 remaining.
• Croker converted a layup to put Marist back in front, 45-44, with 2:26 to play.
• After the Peacocks tied the game at the free throw line, Croker finished another layup with 33 seconds left to give Marist the lead.
• Tarul added a free throw with eight seconds remaining, and the Red Foxes secured the 48-45 victory.
