MACON, GA. - The Marist men's lacrosse team will begin its 2026 season on the road this Saturday, as the Red Foxes travel to take on Mercer. The game is set for a noon start.
 

PRESEASON POLLS

• The Red Foxes were picked third in the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Poll.
• The Red Foxes earned 72 votes, including three first-place votes, trailing just Siena at 74 points and five first-place votes.

 

LAST TIME OUT

• The men's lacrosse team finished last season fourth in the MAAC with a 5-3 conference record.
• The Red Foxes downed No. 5 Manhattan in the MAAC Quarterfinals, 16-7, to advance to their first MAAC Semifinals since 2023
• Marist fell to eventual MAAC Champions Siena in the MAAC Semifinals, 15-14

 

SECOND SEASON SCARCELLO

• Dave Scarcello returns for his second season as the head coach of the program
• As a first year head coach, Scarcello won eight games and led Marist to its first MAAC Semifinals appearance since 2023
• Scarcello took over for former head coach Keegan Wilkinson, who led the program for 13 seasons.  

 

SCOUTING MERCER

• This is the second meeting in program history between Marist and Mercer.
• Marist earned the 16-6 win in the lone matchup with Mercer on Feb. 8, 2025
• Collin Patrick led the charge with four goals in the win
• Mercer enters Saturday's contest coming off an 18-7 victory over Hampton in its season opener.
• Junior Dillon Bush led the way with seven goals and an assist for eight points in the victory
• The Bears finished last season 2-11 overall with a 1-4 ASUN Conference record.

• Marist will be back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 17, when the Red Foxes travel to take on Yale.
