Softball Falls in Series Finale Against Saint Peter’s

Rogers Homers, Drives in Three

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University softball team dropped the final of a three-game Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference series to Saint Peter's by a score of 7-5 at Gartland Field on Sunday.
 
Summary
  • In the bottom of the first, Annabelle Geiser drew a one-out walk, and she scored on Samantha Rogers' sacrifice fly.
  • Summer Solitaria's two-run double in the second gave Saint Peter's a 2-1 lead.
  • Sienna Kunze led off the fourth with an infield single, and she scored the tying run on Lily Roumelis' groundout.
  • After the fourth inning, there was a rain delay of one hour, 55 minutes.
