POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The Marist men's lacrosse team continues its 2026 MAAC slate on Saturday, as the Red Foxes travel to Hamden, Connecticut to take on Quinnipiac. The opening faceoff is set for a 3 p.m. start.
 

LAST TIME OUT

• In a back-and-forth battle that featured multiple momentum swings and extended into double overtime, Marist men's lacrosse fell to Siena, 11-10, Wednesday evening at Tenney Stadium.
• Marist was led offensively by Sean Mullan, who recorded a hat trick and added an assist. 
• Collin Patrick matched that four-point output with two goals and two assists, while Steven Cain and Jayce Konowitz each added two goals.
• Marist goalkeeper Richie Metzger made 11 saves in the contest, including several critical stops late to keep the Red Foxes in position.

STONE WALL

• Freshman goalkeeper Richie Metzger has been a unit in net for the Red Foxes this season
• On the year, Metzger is 5-2
• He boasts a 9.35 goals against average, which leads the MAAC and ranks 17th in the nation
• His .549 save-percentage ranks second in the MAAC and 16th in the country
• Metzger's 11.29 saves per game ranks third in the MAAC and 27th in the nation

HISTORY AGAINST QUINNIPIAC

• Saturday's matchup will mark the 23rd matchup between the two programs
• The two sides are 11-11 all-time against eachother
• In their last matchup, the Red Foxes came up short against the Bobcats, 8-7 on March 15, 2025

 

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS

• Quinnipiac comes into the contest at 2-7 overall and 1-2 in the MAAC
• Nate Watson leads the Bobcats with 23 goals and 28 points
• Cole Marsala has totaled 15 goals and 10 assists for 25 points
