POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University men's basketball team had three players honored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference on Wednesday morning.
Sophomore guard
Justin Menard and senior guard
Elijah Lewis were both named Third Team All-MAAC. Senior forward
Jaden Daughtry earned a spot on the conference's All-Defensive Team.
- Leads Marist in points (12.6) and assists (3.7) per game. Ranks third in the MAAC in assists.
- Scored in double figures the final seven games of the regular season, averaging 18.0 points per game in that span, which includes a career-high 30 points at Manhattan on Feb. 20.
- Named MAAC Player of the Week on Dec. 15 after pouring in 27 points at Bryant two days earlier.
- Shooting .914 from the free-throw line. Has currently made 10 straight free throws, and had consecutive made streaks of 20 and 17 earlier this year.
- Has made a team-best 52 three-pointers, and is shooting .359 from beyond the arc.
- Named Third Team All-MAAC for the second straight year. Became the first Red Fox to earn All-MAAC honors in back-to-back years since Brian Parker in 2018 and 2019.
- Averaged 12.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in the regular season.
- Ranks seventh in the MAAC with an .847 free throw percentage.
- Had a season-high 22 points to go along with eight rebounds and four assists in a victory over Manhattan on Dec. 7.
- Started all 24 games this season – and all 54 over the last two years – before suffering a season-ending injury at Fairfield on Feb. 7.
- One of five players named to the MAAC's inaugural All-Defensive Team.
- Leads Marist in rebounds, blocked shots, and steals.
- Frequently called on to guard the opposition's top scorer.
- Had two games with 10 rebounds this season: at Rider on Jan. 11, and at Merrimack on Feb. 12. Scored 10 points at Merrimack for his third career double-double.
- Ranks in the program's top 10 all-time in games played (121, tied for third), blocked shots (93, eighth), rebounds (606, tied for 10th), and steals (137, tied for 10th).
Marist (18-11 overall, 12-8 MAAC) opens the 2026 Air Force Reserve MAAC Basketball Championship on Saturday, when the fifth-seeded Red Foxes face fourth-seeded Quinnipiac. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
