POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist University men's tennis team returns to action with two matches at West Point this weekend. The Red Foxes will face Army West Point on Friday, March 6 at 4 p.m. and then Lamar University on Saturday, March 7 at 1 p.m.
 

LAST TIME OUT

• The Red Foxes posted a 4-0 sweep of St. Bonaventure on Thursday afternoon, winning the doubles point and three straight singles matches to secure the road victory.
• Marist opened the day with a clean sweep in doubles. Thomas Bevan and Nick Suhanitski earned a 6-3 win at No. 1, graduate student Jose Catala and sophomore Gregor Heinemann secured a 6-1 victory at No. 2, and sophomore Ian Layton and freshman Alejandro Abella Fernandez completed the sweep with a 6-3 win at No. 3.
• In singles, Catala delivered a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 1 to extend the lead. Abella Fernandez followed with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 2, and sophomore Anirudh Nallaparaju clinched the match with a 7-6, 6-0 win at No. 4.

SCOUTING THE BLACK KNIGHTS

• Army has a 9-5 record on the season with a 9-1 record at home.
• This will be the 22nd meeting in program history between Marist and Army, with the Black Knights leading the all-time series 14-7.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS

• Lamar is 6-8 on the season.
• This will be the second meeting between Marist and Lamar. The Cardinals won the previous meeting in 2012.
