POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Marist Women's Rowing returned home to the Hudson River for a Senior Day matchup against Fairfield. The team boated a 1st Varsity 8+, 2nd Varsity 8+, Varsity 4+, 2nd Varsity 4+, and 3rd Varsity 8+. The team was excited to celebrate the senior class in their final regular-season race. Conditions were fast on the water, with an increasing cross-tail wind throughout the morning. The race was followed by a ceremony honoring our seniors and their families in Historic Cornell Boathouse.
The 1st Varsity 8+ consisted of coxswain Ariana Novero, Amelia Nelson, Megan McGowan, Sophie Forster, Kora Eckelman, Natalie Ronan, Anna Fedders, Abby Deane, and Kaleigh Tompkins.

"The girls defended their home course! It was a really strong race with a great start, I was glad to call bow ball within the first 30 strokes!! Throughout the race we kept hitting wakes and rollers, but as they were reminded that we practiced through them all the time, they were able to keep pushing through. Overall, it was a quick race with the tailwind pushing us home! "

The 3rd Varsity 8+ consisted of coxswain Lilia Thomas, Elizabeth Klik, Ashleigh Coyne, Ella Manion, Stella McGinty, Sydney Macchia, Courtney Clark, Madeline Fraccasso, and Charley Brown.
