POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Head coach
John Dunne of the Marist University men's basketball program has announced the addition of nine new players for the 2026-27 season.
The newest Red Foxes are Brandon Arnold, Dywane Chess, Logan Franz, Jack Graham, Brady MacAdams, Edward Onyia, Logan Rodriguez, Cameron Sweeney, and Josh Williams.
"I'm very enthusiastic about the new group," Dunne said. "They all have different strengths that we believe complement each other very well. I'm very excited about the physicality of our guards along with the length we brought in up front."
Brandon Arnold – Freshman – Guard – 6-3/190 – Baldwin, NY/Kimball Union Academy
Arnold is a Long Island native who shined in all aspects of the game for Kimball Union Academy in the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC). He earned All-NEPSAC honors each of the last two years. He showed the ability to score at all three levels while being a disruptive defender. He played AAU for Crown Basketball on Long Island.
Dywane Chess – Freshman – Guard – 6-4/200 – Bethlehem, PA/St. George's School
Chess was ranked as the top player in Rhode Island in the Class of 2026 Winter Rankings. His strong two-way game led St. George's to back-to-back ISL championships, and he was named ISL MVP in the 2025-26 season. Chess was named Player of the Month this past January by the New England Basketball Journal, and he earned All-Star and All-Scholastic Honors from the Boston Herald. He played AAU for the Middlesex Magic.
Logan Franz – Freshman – Center – 6-11/220 – Randolph, NJ/Rutgers Prep
Franz is a high-motor player who can stretch the floor offensively and offer strong rim protection on the defensive end. He continues a strong pipeline of Red Foxes who have starred at New Jersey powerhouse Rutgers Prep, which has sent four players to Marist in the last six years, including current Red Foxes
Jadin Collins-Roberts and
Myles Parker. Franz most recently played AAU ball for Marston Elite.
Jack Graham – Senior – Guard – 6-3/185 – Smithfield, RI/University of New Hampshire
Graham played last season at the University of New Hampshire, where he was the Wildcats' second-leading scorer at 11.4 points per game while draining 56 three-pointers. He began his collegiate career at the University of Richmond, where he played 17 games and was part of the Spiders' Atlantic 10 regular-season championship team in the 2023-24 season. Graham played scholastically at Milton Academy, where he led his team to its first NEPSAC championship since 1974 and was named Class A Co-Player of the Year.
Brady MacAdams – Freshman – Guard – 6-5/200 – Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood
MacAdams was highly regarded as one of the top scorers in the Philadelphia Catholic League, and was a First Team All-PCL selection as a junior and senior. In both of those seasons, he averaged over 16 points per game and shot over 46 percent from three-point range. As a senior, he averaged eight rebounds per game. He played AAU for Team Final EYBL, where he shot over 40 percent from three and averaged 10 points a game in five contests at the Peach Jam in the summer of 2025.
Edward Onyia – Sophomore – Wing – 6-7/215 – Leicester, United Kingdom/Saint Anselm
Onyia comes to Marist after starring as a freshman at Saint Anselm, where he was named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Year after averaging 11.5 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Onyia played prep in England for Charnwood College. He was named EABL First Team three times. He played for his country's U20 team, and was named Hoopsfix All-Star Classic MVP.
Logan Rodriguez – Freshman – Wing – 6-9/220 – Plattsburgh, NY/Albany Academy
Rodriguez re-classified to the Class of 2026 to join the Red Foxes. He was a frontcourt anchor at Albany Academy, one of the top high school programs in New York State, where he displayed a strong all-around game. He played AAU ball for City Rocks Elite on the EYBL circuit.
Cameron Sweeney – Freshman – Guard – 6-2/185 – Hershey, PA/Hershey
Sweeney starred at Hershey High School, where he was named Pennsylvania Sportswriters Class 5A First Team All-State twice. He set the program's all-time scoring record with 1,457 career points and led Hershey to its first PIAA District 3 championship in over 50 years. Sweeney played for the Sideline Cancer independent AAU team on the MADE Hoops Circuit.
Josh Williams – Junior – Guard – 6-3/210 – Helena, AL/Coastal Alabama South
Williams was one of the top-scoring junior college products in the country last season, as he was regarded as the top JUCO prospect in the state of Alabama. He averaged 24.6 points per game while shooting .497 from the field, .372 from three-point range, and .774 from the line. He also averaged 5.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. Williams erupted for a season-high 43 points against Lawson State last season. He played scholastically at Helena High School.
Marist is heading into its ninth season under Dunne's leadership in the 2026-27 season. The Red Foxes have won 57 games the last three seasons, their best three-year stretch in 18 years.
