POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -Â The Marist University men's and women's tennis teams, led by first-year Director of Tennis Andrew Sendek, are set to begin their 2026 fall campaigns with a challenging slate of tournaments designed to prepare both squads for the spring dual-match season and the Metro Championship.
Â
The men's team will begin its season on Wednesday, Sept. 9, hosting Union College at the Marist Tennis Pavilion for its only home match of the season.
Following Wednesday's matchup, the men's team will participate in multiple tournaments this fall, including the Army West Point Invite (Sept. 19-20) in West Point, New York, the Hofstra Invitational (Sept. 25-27) in Hempstead, New York, and the Metro Masters (Oct. 2-4) in Hamden, Connecticut. The Red Foxes will conclude the semester with the ITA Regional Tournament (Oct. 8-12) in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The Red Foxes are aiming to build on the success they had last season, ending the year with a 15-6 record, including an 8-0 mark in conference play, and capturing the MAAC regular-season title.
The women's team will begin its season three days after the men, opening the year at the Lehigh Invite in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 12-13.
The women will also compete in a string of tournaments this fall, including back-to-back weekends in West Point, New York, with the Army Invite (Sept. 19-20) and the West Point Invite (Sept. 25-27). They will then join the men's team for the Metro Masters (Oct. 2-4) in Hamden, Connecticut.
The Red Foxes will conclude their fall season with the ITA Regional Tournament (Oct. 8-13) in New Haven, Connecticut, followed by a match against Monmouth University on Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Marist Tennis Pavilion.
