Philadelphia, PA---Diana Perachio (Newtown, Conn.) competed in the 2001 Omni Hotels Eastern Region Tennis Championships yesterday afternoon, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. This prestigious tennis event showcases some of the best collegiate tennis programs in the northeast.

The freshman Red Fox played in the singles draw and lost a tough match to Meredith Vincent from Virginia Tech, 6-3, 6-2.

The Marist College women's tennis team will next compete against St. Francis(PA) College, at the start of their spring season on Saturday, March 23, at 2:00 pm.
