Poughkeepsie, NY - The Marist College athletic department announced that the men's basketball game on Saturday, January 4, 2003 has been designated as Take A Kid To The Game Day. The game, versus Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foe Manhattan is to be televised live on ESPN2 at 12:00 pm.
"We are very excited to be participating in the NCAA Take a Kid to the Game initiative," said Tim Murray, Director of Athletics at Marist College. "Our wish is that all of the young boys and girls in our immediate area will have the opportunity to experience the one-of-a-kind atmosphere that is NCAA Basketball."
As part of the NCAA's Take A Kid To The Game Program, now in its fifth year, all children, 18 and under, will receive a free ticket to the afternoon's game, with the purchase of a full price adult ticket.
