Donohue, Willemin Headline Pre-Season All-MAAC Men's Lacrosse Team For Red Foxes

Poughkeepsie, NY - The Marist College men's lacrosse team was selected to finish sixth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference e(MAAC), in a preseason poll of the league's head coaches, released Wednesday by the league office. Seniors Paul Donohue (Fairlawn, NJ) and Steve Willemin (Farmingdale, NY) where both selected as Pre-Season All-MAAC Team members.

Donohue, a graduate of Fairlawn High School, ranks fourth in Marist history in goals with 113m and holds the school record for goals scored in a game, tallying nine against Anger on April 14, 2000.

Willemin, a defensive selection, graduated from Farmingdale High School. He was the teams Defensive Most Valuable Player last season, and is a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection.

The Red Foxes finished the 2001 MAAC season at 4-9 overall, going 3-6 in MAAC play, finishing seventh place. Marist will host the 2002 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament, May 3-4th on Leonidoff Field.

Marist will begin the 2002 MAAC schedule on Saturday, when it hosts Canisius in a 1:00 pm game, on Leonidoff Field.
