Donohue Becomes All-Time Goals Leader With Two Goals Versus Providence

Providence, RI - The Marist College men's lacrosse team fell 12-7 to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foe Providence, in Rhode Island this afternoon. Senior Paul Donohue tallied two goals on the afternoon, giving him 126 for his career, and eclipsing the school's all-time record, 125, set by David Kiddney from 1994-97.

The loss snaps the Red Foxes two game winning streak, despite the four point effort from Donohue. In addition to his two goals he also added two assists. Josh Ben-Eliyahu and Brian Diele each scored two goals for the Red Foxes, and Jay Nahama added a goal and and two assists.

Brian Schumeyer had 20 saves in net for the Red Foxes. Over the course of the last three games, Schumeyer has stopped 58 shots, nearly 20 a game.

The Red Foxes, who fall to 2-3 on the year, are now 1-1 in MAAC play.

Marist returns to action on Saturday, March 30th, when it hosts MAAC opponent St. Joseph's. Game time is set for 1:00 pm on Leonidoff Field.
