Marist Men's Track Competes in St. John's Invitational

April 20, 2002

Final Stats

New York, NY---Sophomore Eli Bisnett-Cobb (Ballston Spa, NY) broke his own school record in the 110-meter high hurdles to lead the Marist College men's track team Saturday at the St. John's University Invitational, held on a wet and stormy afternoon in Queens.

Bisnett-Cobb finished fifth in the 110 high hurdles in 15.47 seconds. What makes his record even more impressive is that the hurdler was racing the high hurdle even just an hour after completing the 400-meter intermediate hurdle race (6th place, 58.90) for the first time in his college career.

Senior co-captain Patrick Driscoll (Congers, NY) placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:07.0. The steeplechase race took place after an hour-long weather delay caused by a severe thunderstorm that left the first lane of the track covered in ankle-deep puddles.

Junior Christopher McCloskey (Hopewell Junction, NY) placed third in the 800-meter run in 1:55.98.

The men's track team returns to action Thursday and Friday, April 25th-26th, at the Penn Relays, and will also compete at the Yale Invitational on Sunday, April 28th.
