EDISON, New Jersey- Marist men's outdoor track & field standout
Manasi Simpkins was named the Jersey Mike's MAAC Men's Track & Field Athlete of Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
Simpkins led the way for the Red Foxes at the Rider Invite with a standout triple-win performance, capturing first place in the 200-meter dash, long jump, and as a member of the victorious 4x400-meter relay team.
He clocked a winning time of 22.66 in the 200 meters, soared 6.75 meters (22 feet, 1.75 inches) to win the long jump, and anchored the relay squad to a first-place finish in 43.19.
