West Point, NY-The Marist College women's tennis team competed in the quarterfinals of the Army Invitational in West Point, NY today.

Sophomore, Amanda Doetsch (Freehold, NJ), lost her second round match to Jen La Russo, 6-4, 6-2. Freshman, Yana Tikhonko (Brooklyn, NY), lost her quarterfinal match to Carissa Sommerland, 6-2, 7-5.

Doetsch and Tikhonko both won their two matches yesterday to reach the quarterfinals. Doetsch defeated the fifth-seeded Tanya Sichko of Bucknell, 6-2, 6-4, and Tikhonko beat Loren Zetti of St. John's, 6-2, 6-1.
