Edison, NJ-Sophomore attacker, Brandi Petersen (Syracuse, NY) was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Week for women's lacrosse, the league office announced yesterday.
Petersen, a graduate of Corcoran High School, scored three goals and two assists in the team's conference victory over the Siena Saints on April 16th. She helped her team improve to 2-2 in league action with the win and a 5-7 overall record.
Petersen has 32 goals, seven assists, and 39 total points on the season, surpassing her career-highs (28 G, 5 A, 33 Pts) set last season as a freshman. She is tied for fifth on the most goals in a season list and sits in seventh place on the most points in a season list with three games remaining.
Petersen and the Red Foxes return to action Wednesday, April 23rd, when they travel to Riverdale, NY to take on conference rival Manhattan at 3:30 p.m.
