Providence, RI -- The Marist College women's water polo played two matches at Brown University on Saturday, taking on Iona and St. Francis (NY).
Marist dropped its first match to Iona 11-0. The Red Foxes played solid halfcourt defense in the match but could not get the offense started. Marist trailed 5-0 at halftime.
The second match was a competitive battle with St. Francis (NY), falling 9-6. Marist led 6-5 at halftime, but the Terriers answered with three third quarter goals to take command of the game. Jillian Jefferds and Alyson Fiorillo both had three goals in the match for the Red Foxes.
Marist is now 1-10 on the year and 0-3 in MAAC play.
