POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Marist Water Polo had two Red Foxes receive All-Championship Team honors. Senior Ines Sanchez and Junior
Kendell De Beer were honored after leading Marist to the MAAC Tournament championship match. The Red Foxes would lose to Wagner, 14-13, in a double overtime thriller.
In the first match Sanchez had nine saves on 15 shots for a save percentage of 60%. In the championship match she recorded 10 saves on 24 shots for a save percentage of 42%. Overall, Sanchez recorded 19 saves on 39 shots for a save percentage of 49%.
Sanchez was selected to the All-MAAC First Team as well as winning MAAC Goalkeeper of the year. She had a great year recording 271 saves on 388 shots for a save percentage of 70%.
De Beer had a phenomenal tournament for the Red Foxes on the offensive side. In the first match she tallied four goals in route to a win. In the second match De Beer lit up the scoreboard with six goals for Marist.
De Beer was honored with an All-MAAC First Team selection after leading the Red Foxes offense with 78 goals and 32 assists in the regular season.
