Brady Signs Kaylen Gregory To Men's Basketball NLI

Poughkeepsie, NY - Marist College head men's basketball coach Matt Brady announced that Kaylen Gregory has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Red Foxes Class of 2008.

Gregory, a 6-foot-4 wing, currently resides in the US Virgin Islands, where he played his high school basketball for at the Antillies School. As a senior Gregory averaged 25 points, 5 rebounds and four assists a game, earning him Most Valuable Player honors at his school. He was also named the Antillies School Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior.

Gregory earned First Team St. Croix Avis First Team honors as a junior and senior year as well. He was named the 2004 Preseason Player of the Year, as well as winning the 6th Annual All VI Hoop Classic Slam Dunk Championship. Following both his junior and senior campaigns, Gregory was voted to the Sunstrove All Virgin Islands Hoops Classic Team. During his junior season, he was also honored as the Zero Tolerance Most Valuable Player.

Marist College is a member of the 10-team, Division I Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Since joining the conference for the 1997-98 season, the Red Foxes have been successful both on the playing surface and in the classroom. Marist is the only school in the 23-year history of the MAAC, to win four consecutive Commissioner's Cup Championships, awarded annually for overall athletic department excellence. In the classroom, Marist student-athletes have also been among the best in the league. For the past two seasons Marist has averaged 100 selections to the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, leading the league both seasons in that category.
