Red Foxes Top Albany 5-2

ALBANY, N.Y. - The Marist women's tennis team improved to 5-3 overall (1-0 MAAC) with its 5-2 win over the University of Albany this afternoon. Senior captain Diana Perachio lost just two games in her match, helping the Red Foxes to win four out of six singles matches.

Juniors Yana Tikhonko and Inge LeGrange were straight set winners in their singles matches, while also winning their doubles match 8-6. Senior Courtney McGeever also won her two matches of the afternoon, defeating Kyle Steller 6-3, 6-1, and teaming up with Amy Albert to take third doubles 8-4.

The Foxes are right back in action tomorrow traveling to Connecticut to take on MAAC rival Fairfield. The women return home on Saturday for a MAAC match versus St. Peter's.
