LOUDONVILLE, N.Y.-The Marist women's water polo squad split another doubleheader against MAAC squads with a 6-4 loss to Iona and a 10-5 victory over host Siena Sunday in Loudonville, N.Y. Marist improved to 10-15 overall and 2-2 in league play.
In the loss to the Gaels, Jillian Jefferds, Carolyn Rosler, Katie Swanson and Mary Grisey all posted one tally each, while Iona was led by Megan Hansen's five.
However, Swanson and Jefferds buried the Saints in the second game, combining for seven goals while Allison Rader had two as well. Grisey and Amanda Long also tallied to round out the scoring. Siena was led by two goals each from Caitlin Smith and Shanna Allen.
The Red Foxes will be back in action on Saturday at Villanova for a 1 p.m. match against Wagner and a 4 p.m. showdown with St. Francis (N.Y.).
