Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - The Marist water polo team (13-20) ended its season today with a 6-5 loss to Iona in the third-place match at the MAAC Championships in the McCann Center Natatorium. Five different players scored goals for the Red Foxes, who set a program record with 13 wins in the 2005 season.

Senior Susan Grant, junior Amanda Long, sophomore Jillian Jefferds and freshmen Callie Andrysiak and Allison Rader tallied goals for Marist while senior Carolyn Rosler and sophomore Katie Swanson had assists. Nicole King had three goals for the Gaels.

Freshmen goalies Elizabeth Davis and Katy Zweifel made five and six saves, respectively.

The Red Foxes return nine of 14 players next season including their top six scorers and both goalies.
