POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist men's basketball team will face Cleveland State in a televised game on Saturday, Feb. 23 in an ESPNU BracketBusters contest, it was announced Monday. The Red Foxes are one of 28 out of the pool of 100 schools selected for a television game.
The 14 ESPNU BracketBusters games will air on ESPN2 (six games), ESPNU (five games), ESPN360.com (two games) and ESPN Classic (one game). The television assignments and game times will be announced on Monday, Feb. 11.
"It's a terrific matchup for both us and Cleveland State," Marist Head Coach Matt Brady said.
The contest will be a homecoming for red-shirt senior forward Ryan Stilphen, a native of Bay Village, Ohio.
"It'll be great to play at home," Stilphen said. "I haven't played a game in Cleveland in five years."
Cleveland State, a member of the Horizon League, is 14-9 overall and 7-4 in conference play. The Vikings are tied for second place in the Horizon with Wright State, who Marist defeated 79-64 on Dec. 1.
ESPNU will offer a special half-hour selection show breaking down the matchups this evening at 6:30 p.m. EST.
