MAAC Announces 2009-10 Basketball Television Schedule

Oct. 7, 2009

EDISON, N.J. -- The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has released its schedule of televised men's and women's basketball games for the 2009-10 season. The Marist men's and women's programs will appear on at least four broadcasts, with three of them being aired on ESPNU.

The Marist men's team opens the television slate on Friday, Jan. 15 at Loyola. The Red Foxes' contest against the Greyhounds will be shown on ESPNU at 7 p.m.

Marist fans will also be treated to television match-ups on back-to-back days later in the month. On Friday, Jan. 29, the Marist women's team will take on Canisius in a re-match of last year's MAAC championship game, which will be shown on ESPNU. Tip-off at the Koessler Athletic Center in Buffalo is set for 4:30 p.m. The following day, the Marist men will host Siena at 4 p.m. in a contest that will air on the MSG Network.

On Friday, Feb. 5, the Marist men will travel to Manhattan for a 9 p.m. tip-off on ESPNU.

This season, the MAAC has instituted a "wildcard" day of broadcasting on Friday, Feb. 12. All 10 men's teams will be in action that day, with one game being shown on ESPN2 at 8 p.m., and another being aired on ESPNU at 7 p.m. Marist will be at Canisius that day. The decision on what games will be televised by ESPN2 and ESPNU will be made in late January.

MSG Network will also televise both semifinal contests and the championship game of the 2010 Citizens Bank MAAC Women's Basketball Championship, as well as the quarterfinals and semifinals of the men's championship. The men's championship game will be air on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 8.

The local broadcasting schedule for the Marist men's and women's teams will be announced at a later date.
