BALTIMORE, MD. - The Marist men's swimming and diving team completed th first session of the H20unds Invitational on Friday evening. The diving corps swept the top two spots in the 1-meter event as junior Brian Bolstad (Highland, N.Y.) and senior Mitchell Katz (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) took first and second places respectively.
Bolstad won the board with a score of 313.75, just .28 points off of Katz's school record, which was set last season. Katz scored 256.00 points, a second place finish in the six-man field.
The Red Foxes got a fifth place finish from the 800-yd. freestyle relay team. Sophomore Keith Miller (Missoula, Mont.) and Steven Vendetta (South Windsor, Conn.) completed the course with a time of 7:10.10.
Sophomore Kevin Quinn (Neponsit, N.Y.) came in ninth in the 200-yd. individual medley with a time of 2:00.02.
The meet will resume Saturday morning at the Mangione Aquatic Center on the campus of Loyola University.
