POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - In a battle of unbeatens, Marist and Columbia gave one another all they could handle in a non-conference women's lacrosse tilt on Saturday afternoon. Fifty-three seconds into the third overtime period, Holly Glynn of Columbia scored the game-winning goal, as she beat freshman goalie Kelsey Thoms (Newark, N.Y.) to best the Red Foxes, 16-15.

Senior Stephanie Garland (Long Valley, N.J.) paced the Marist (2-1) offense, as she totaled five points (3 G, 2 A). Junior Erin Wilson (Ida, Mich.) had a hat trick, and junior Lindsay Rinefierd (Smithtown, N.Y.) and freshman Ariel Kramer (Syracuse, N.Y.) both had two goals apiece.

Wilson scored on a free position shot, Rinefierd and senior Carolyn Sumzick (Syosset, N.Y.) also tallied goals during the stretch. The Lions ended the first half on a 6-1 run to take a 11-8 lead into the locker room.

After a Brittany Shannon goal for Columbia which came with 28:40 to go, Garland began a 5-1 Marist run that spanned over 14 minutes. The run was capped by back-to-back Marist goals by Kramer to knot the score at 13.

Columbia would score a goal with 9:45 remaining to reclaim the lead at 14-13. Six seconds after the Lions' goal, they took a penalty that gave Marist a man advantage for the next three minutes.

The Red Foxes scored two goals in 10 seconds on the man advantage. Goals from Wilson and sophomore Lauren Ciccarello (Wantaugh, N.Y.) gave Marist a 15-14 lead with 9:19 to play in regulation; however, Columbia answered with 2:22 to tie the game in the waning minutes of regulation.
