VESTAL, N.Y. - The Marist women's lacrosse team set a program record by winning its 11th game of the season on Tuesday, as the Red Foxes closed out the regular season with a 16-13 triumph at Binghamton in a non-conference contest. Senior attack Kate Noftsker (Needham, Mass.) and senior midfielder Stephanie Garland (Long Valley, N.J.) led the Red Foxes with five points apiece.

Freshman defender Erin Wilson (Ada, Mich.) each added four points, as Condon tallied three goals and an assist while Wilson had four assists.
The Red Foxes scored first 6:48 into the game on a goal by junior midfielder Lindsay Rinefierd (Smithtown, N.Y.), which was assisted by Garland. Condon then added a pair of goals just 72 seconds apart to give Marist a 3-0 lead with 18:51 left in the first half. After Emily Thon scored for Binghamton at the 16:18 mark, the Red Foxes quickly expanded their lead to 6-1 on goals by junior midfielder Lauren Ciccarello (Wantagh, N.Y.), freshman midfielder Cristin Begley (Brookville, Md.) and Noftsker scored later in the first half as the Red Foxes took a 9-6 halftime lead.
Marist opened the second half by scoring first three goals, with two coming from Noftsker and one from senior midfielder Carolyn Sumcizk (Syosset, N.Y.) sandwiched in-between. The Red Foxes led by at least the remainder of the contest.
Sumcizk and Condon led the Red Foxes with three ground balls apiece, while Begley had a team-high three draw controls. Freshman goalie Kelsey Thoms (Newark, N.Y.) made four saves.
Meg Brown led Binghamton (3-12) with four goals and one assist.
Marist concludes its regular season with an 11-4 record. The Red Foxes will open play in this weekend's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament as the third seed, and will face second-seeded Canisius in a semifinal on Friday at Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y. The Marist-Canisius game will come approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the day's first semifinal between top-seeded Fairfield and fourth-seeded Manhattan, which will begin at noon.
