POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Marist football team had its second day of camp on Thursday, Aug. 13. The day consisted of testing in the weight room and in the 100-yard dash, with positional meetings being held in the evening. Freshmen took part in an academic day prior to testing.
The team will hold its first full practice on Friday, Aug. 14 from 3:30-6 p.m. at North Field. All camp practices will be open to the public.
Quotes from junior safety and captain Rory Foley:
What kind of shape is the team in?
Good. I think we had a higher percentage pass the conditioning test than we've had in previous years. We had guys put up some good numbers in the weight room that are higher than we've had in the past.
How much are you looking forward to the first practice tomorrow?
Like you wouldn't believe. It's been a long time. Well, not really, but it's still been too long!
