PRINCETON, N.J. - The Marist men's track and field team got its strongest performance from a pair of freshmen at the Princeton Relays on Saturday evening. Freshmen Joel Moss (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) and Michael Keegan (Huntington, N.Y.) posted personal best times en route to taking the top two spots in the unseeded 3,000-meter run. Moss posted a mark of 9:18.51, while Keegan followed with a time of 9:22 flat.
Senior Max Carow (Fanwood, N.J.) cleared the opening bar en route to finishing sixth in the pole vault. He cleared the opening bar with a vault of 4.2 meters. This is the second time this winter he has cleared this mark, and it is just six centimeters away from his own school record.
In the 300-meter dash, senior Colin Frederickson (Albany, N.Y.) posted a personal best time. He finished second among the Red Foxes with a time of 37.07 seconds, .04 seconds behind Marist's top finisher, sophomore Derrick Powell (Silver Spring, Md.).
The Red Foxes will return to competition on Friday, Jan. 29 and Saturday, Jan. 30 when Marist will race in the Boston University Terrier Classic.
