Men's Swimming & Diving Falls At Rider

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - The Marist men's swimming & diving team suffered in a 183.5-114.5 loss to Rider in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference dual meet on Saturday. Freshman Jason Ruddy (Lake Katrine, N.Y.) won the 200 fly, and finished in a dead heat for first in the 100 fly.

Junior Brian Shannon (Baldwin, N.Y.) also prevailed for the Red Foxes in the 200 breaststroke by nine-hundredths of a second over teammate Evan Uy (Kailua-Kona, Hawaii).

Marist also received three second-place finishes from sophomore Nick Spinella (Franklin Square, N.Y.) in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and 200 individual medley.

Marist is now 1-2 on the season. The Red Foxes will return to action with a dual meet at Canisius on Sunday, Nov. 6 beginning at 10 a.m.
