AMHERST, N.Y. -
Junior Arquimedes DelaCruz (Wantagh, N.Y.) led the Marist men's cross country
team with a 54th-place overall finish at the NCAA Northeast Regional
meet on Saturday at Audubon Golf Course, hosted by University at Buffalo.
Running in extremely windy conditions, DelaCruz completed
the 10,000-meter course in 3:44.8. The next Marist finisher was senior William
Griffin (Columbia, Conn.), who came in 72nd in 33:00.6.
As a team, Marist placed 20th out of 39 teams.
The Red Foxes will wrap up the 2011 season on Saturday,
Nov. 19 at the IC4A Championships, which will be held at Van Cortlandt Park in
the Bronx.
