Marist's Moller Named First Team Academic All-District

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Senior running back Timothy Moller (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) of the Marist football team has been named CoSIDA/Capital One First Team Academic All-District for the second time in his career.

Moller, a Biomedical Sciences major, previously earned the honor in 2009. He was also named First Team Academic All-Pioneer Football League (PFL) in 2009, and Second Team Academic All-PFL in 2010. He has also been selected to the PFL Academic Honor Roll.

Moller played in all 11 games this season. He saw action as a reserve running back and was a key member of the Red Foxes' special teams units. Moller gained 27 rushing yards on seven attempts, and registered three tackles, including two solo stops.

In order to be eligible for the Academic All-District teams, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or key reserve on their team while having at least sophomore standing academically.

By earning first-team honors, Moller is now eligible for the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-America Team, which is scheduled to be released on Dec. 8.
