BRONX, N.Y. - Junior Arquimedes DelaCruz (Wantagh, N.Y.) and senior William Griffin (Columbia, Conn.) earned All-East honors by virtue of top-25 finishes at the season-ending IC4A meet, held on Saturday at Van Cortlandt Park.
DelaCruz placed eighth overall in the championship race with a time of 25:17 on the five-mile course, as he set a personal best by nine seconds. His time was the sixth-best in program history at Van Cortlandt Park. Griffin finished 20th overall in 25:38.
Sophomore Ken Walshak (Babylon, N.Y.) and senior Thomas Lipari (Greenvale, N.Y.) placed 41st and 85th overall, respectively. Freshman Mark Valentino (Smithtown, N.Y.) set a personal best en route to a 91st place finish.
As a team, Marist placed 12th overall in the championship race.
