NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Marist men's indoor track and field team returned to action on Friday after a month off at the Gotham Cup, held at the Armory. Three Red Foxes - sophomore Ken Walshak (Babylon, N.Y.), sophomore Ryan Scrudato (Westfield, N.J.) and sophomore Kevin O'Sullivan (Virginia Beach, Va.) set personal best times in the 3,000-meter run.
Freshmen Mark Valentino (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Tyler Schwarz (Fairfield, Conn.) also set personal bests in the 5,000-meter run and 60-meter dash, respectively. Sophomore Sean Ellman (Poughquag, N.Y.) had a season-best distance in the weight throw.
Marist will return to action in two weeks, as the squad will be split between the Metropolitan Championships in New York on Friday, Jan. 27 and the Terrier Invitational in Boston on Friday-Saturday, Jan. 27-28.
