NEW YORK, N.Y. - Marist sophomore Nicole Scicolone (Carle Place, N.Y.) set a school record in the long jump at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships, held Friday night at the Armory.

Scicolone's distance of 5.45 meters broke the former record of 5.37 meters, set by Chrissy McDevitt in 2004. Scicolone placed third in the event, as she was the lone Red Fox to medal in the championships.

The Red Foxes also received a pair of sixth-place finishes from seniors Briana Crowe (Bayville, N.J.) and Addie DiFrancesco (Waterbury, Conn.). Crowe ran a time of 2:18.15 in the 800 meters, while DiFrancesco finished the 5,000 in 17:55.01

As a team, Marist placed sixth overall with a total of 26 points.

5,000-meter run: 6-Addie DiFrancesco 17:55.01, 13-Rachel Bremer 19:27.12, 14-Rachel Lichtenwalner 19:31.07, 15-Kelley Gould 20:07.03.

60-meter hurdles (Preliminaries): 12-Alexandra McCahill 10:17.

1,600-meter relay: 5-Marist (Christine Coughlin, Briana Crowe, Jackie Gamboli, 4-Colleen Meenan) 4:12.59.

Distance medley relay: 4-Marist (Erin O'Reilly, Christina Turigiano, Megan Brady, Kara Lightowler) 12:52.72.

Long jump: 3-Nicole Scicolone 5.45 meters (school record), 14-Brooke Kristensen 4.65 meters.

Triple jump: 10-Brooke Kristensen 10.22 meters.
