LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.  –  The women's swimming and diving team won 158.5-141.5 over the Rider Broncs in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) meet today. The women's team is now 3-1 for the season.

Senior Bonnie Orr (Fresno, Calif.) won the 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:35.78. Sophomore Bethany Powhida (Delmar, N.Y.) also posted points in the event, taking second place with a time of 10:41.95, while senior Kim Kaller (New Providence, N.J.) took fourth finishing in 11:04.59.

Orr came right back in the next event and won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.30. Senior Maddie Arciello (Missoula, Mont.) finished right behind in second place (1:56.39), while freshman Meredith Wurtz (Lafayette Hill, PA.) came in fourth (2:00.20).

Marist claimed the top three spots in the 500 yard freestyle. Orr took first (5:12.75), while Lampe placed second (5:14.19) and sophomore Alexandria Koukos (Cheshire, Conn.) took third (5:17.73)

Claiming first in the 100 yard freestyle, Arcielo posted a time of 53.92. Arciello finished up tying for first in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.85. Wurtz followed right behind her in that event as well, claiming a time of 24.97.

Orr also took first for the Red Foxes, posting a time of 2:07.41 in the 200 yard backstroke.

The Red Foxes also took first place in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:50.00. The relay team consisted of freshman Colleen Lampe (East Setauket, NY.), freshman Isabella Morreale (Short Hills, NJ.), senior Emily Miles (Long Valley, N.J.) and Arciello. Morreale also went on to win the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:29.88.

Marist also placed first in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:38.56. The team consisted of sophomore Bridget Curley (Endwell, N.Y.), freshman Kelsey Forster (Beaverton, OR), Orr and Wurtz.

Lampe and Powhida finished second (59.88) and third (1:00.38), respectively, in the 100 yard backstroke. Also for Marist, Morreale took second in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.77.

Junior Kimberly Tobias came in second place in the one-meter dive (258.00) and three-meter dive (250.65), Sophomore Renata Diotalevi (Madison, Conn.) came in fourth  in both the one-meter ((217.12) and three-meter dive (224.62).

The Red Foxes move on to compete in the H2O Hounds Invitational Dec. 6-7, in Baltimore, Md. The first meet is set for 4 p.m. against Iona and Saint Peter's.
