ESTERO, Fla. -- The Marist men's basketball team (0-2) will play three games in three days in the Gulf Coast Showcase beginning on Monday. The Red Foxes will open the tournament against Florida Gulf Coast (3-0) at 6 p.m.

The Red Foxes are coming off a 76-62 loss to Army in their home opener on Saturday, Nov. 22. Senior Chavaughn Lewis led all scorers with 21 points, and moved up to fifth place in program history in career scoring. Lewis now has 1,562 career points.

Florida Gulf Coast is coming off a 79-62 win over Ohio in its last outing on Nov. 19. Four Eagles are averaging double digits in points, led by Bernard Thompson at 18.0 points per game. Thompson is coming off a 34-point game against Ohio, which set the program's single-game Division I scoring record. Brett Comer averages 13.0 points per game, and has a 32-to-9 assist-to-turnover ratio.

With a win on Monday, Marist will play at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. A loss means the Red Foxes' Tuesday contest will tip at 2:30 p.m. Marist will face either San Francisco or Hawaii on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the Red Foxes will face either Green Bay, East Carolina, Fresno State or Evansville. Game time will be determined by the team's results on Monday and Tuesday, and will take place at either noon, 2:30 p.m., 6 p.m., or 8:30 p.m.

Dean Darling (play-by-play) and Ed Weir (color) will have the call for all of Marist's tournament games, which will air on WKIP 1450 AM in Poughkeepsie, the Red Fox Network and iHeartRadio. The pregame show will start 15 minutes prior to each game.
