Marist-Siena Game On Jan. 23 To Be Carried By ESPN3

Editor's Note: Information from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference was used in this report.

EDISON, N.J. – ESPN and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday that Marist's game at Siena on Friday, Jan. 23 will be carried on ESPN3.

This contest gives the Red Foxes three games that will be carried on the ESPN Family of Networks as part of the MAAC's television package. Marist's home contest against Siena on Thursday, Feb. 12 will be carried on ESPN3, and its home game against Iona on Friday, Feb. 20 will be televised by ESPNU.

A total of 47 MAAC games will be nationally televised on the ESPN networks during the 2014-15 campaign, which includes 37 regular season contests and 10 contests at the 2015 MAAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York.

This season's MAAC television schedule features an all-time high of 11 wildcard games. The wildcard format allows ESPN to pick any game on schedule for the selected date to be air on the designated platform (ESPN2, ESPNU, or ESPN3). ESPN announces which game it selects for the wildcard telecast 21 days out. The format enables the MAAC and ESPN flexibility to showcase the best possible matchups.

Four other Marist regular season games remain eligible for wildcard consideration. Here is a list of those games, with the station the game would air on and the time of the game if it is picked up:

Friday, Jan. 30 – at Niagara, 7 p.m. (ESPN3) or 8 p.m. (ESPNU)
Friday, Feb. 6 – vs. Niagara, 7 p.m. (ESPNU or ESPN3)
Friday, Feb. 27 – vs. Saint Peter's, 6 p.m. (ESPNU) or 7 p.m. (ESPN2)
Sunday, March 1 – at Rider, 4 p.m. (ESPN3)

Marist will return to action on Friday, Jan. 2 when the Red Foxes host Rider. The game will air locally on WKIP (1450 AM) in Poughkeepsie, as well as on the Red Fox Network and iHeartRadio. A video stream will be available on the Red Fox Network. Pregame coverage will begin at 6:45. Tickets for Friday night's game are available, and be purchased by clicking here.
