BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – The Marist football team plays its second of three straight road games on Saturday, when the Red Foxes head to Campbell for a Pioneer Football League contest. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
The Red Foxes (1-4 overall, 0-2 PFL) suffered a 30-27 defeat at San Diego in their last outing on Saturday, Oct. 3. Campbell (3-2, 1-1) earned a 24-14 triumph over Drake this past week.
Of note:
- Fifth-year senior WR Matt Tralli enters the game with 168 career receptions. He is eight catches away from tying, and nine away from breaking, the program record currently held by James LaMacchia. Tralli has at least one reception in 29 straight games.
- Marist is 5-1 against Campbell all-time, including a 3-0 record in road games. The Red Foxes are 7-0 all-time in North Carolina, a record which also includes four victories against Davidson.
- Marist has 24 plays from scrimmage of at least 20 yards this season. The Red Foxes had 29 all of last season.
- Marist had a season-high three plays of longer than 50 yards at San Diego last week.
Geoff Brault (play-by-play) and Ed Weir (color) will have the call on Rock 93.3 FM in the Hudson Valley, the Red Fox Network and iHeartRadio beginning at 5:45 p.m.
Marist will have its bye next week. The Red Foxes will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 24 when they head back to North Carolina for a PFL contest with Davidson. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
