STATEN ISLAND, New York – The Marist men's indoor track team opened its season on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Metro Holiday Season Opener. Sophomore Joseph Miller, senior Mark Vuono, sophomore Sami Ellougani and senior Richard Willi had the best result on the afternoon in the 4x800 meter relay with a third place finish.
Graduate student Mark Valentino also highlighted the afternoon with a 14 second improvement for a personal-best time of 8:44.25 in the 3,000-meter run, while Ellougani and Willi also set personal bests in the mile run with overall times of 4:31.86 and 4:38.11 respectively.
The Red Foxes now have a month break from meets before returning to action on January 15th, for the STAC Invitational.
