The three had joined forces with sophomore Michael Valceanu to clock in at the fastest time in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:25.01) at the start of the second day of competition. Madeira was also the winner of the 200-yard freestyle (1:41.40).

In the diving event freshman Raislan Aiken nabbed first place on the 1-meter board with 271.72 points, a score more than 50 points ahead of the rest of the pack.
