SCHNECTADY, New York – The Marist women's tennis team fell victim to a dominating Albany performance Sunday afternoon, dropping a match to the Great Danes, 7-0.
The Great Danes won all seven matches in straight sets. The Red Foxes shinning performance came during an exhibition singles match. Sophie Moeller defeated Chae Bean Kang, 9-7.
Albany clinched the doubles point after Caroline Lozo and Ariel Shulman fell to the Great Danes combo, 6-o. The match clinching point for Albany came at the second singles position.
The Red Foxes return to action on Wednesday as they travel to take on NJIT in Newark, New Jersey. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
