Wilkinson To Be Head Coach In North-South Game

PERRY, New York – Marist men's lacrosse head coach Keegan Wilkinson will lead the North squad in the 75th United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse North-South All-Star Game, it was announced May 11. Red Fox Assistant Coaches Mike Gongas and Ethan Fox will join Wilkinson on the sidelines for the contest, which is scheduled for May 27 on the campus of Cabrini College in Radnor, Pennsylvania.

The USILA hosts two all-star games each season, one featuring the top graduating players in Divisions I and II and another highlighting the best seniors in Division III. Wilkinson's North team will include players from schools in the Northeastern United States, including New York, New Jersey Pennsylvania and the New England area. The opposing South side draws its players from schools located elsewhere in the nation including but not limited to Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Virginia, North Carolina and the Midwest.

The Red Foxes competed in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship game for the third straight season in 2016, finishing with a 9-7 overall record that included 4-2 in MAAC play. Wilkinson was named the conference's Coach of the Year in 2015 after Marist won its first MAAC Championship in a decade, defeated Bryant in a preliminary round NCAA Tournament game and concluded the year ranked 20th in the nation.
