FAIRFIELD, Connecticut – The Marist women's soccer team and the Fairfield Stags played to a scoreless draw Saturday afternoon in Fairfield, Connecticut. With the tie the Red Foxes conclude the regular season 8-7-3 overall and 5-2-1 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
The Red Foxes will be the #5 seed in the upcoming MAAC Championships and take on the #4 seed Siena Saints in the quarterfinals on Sunday, October 29
th at 2 p.m.
SUMMARY
Despite pouring 16 shots towards net, six on goal, the Red Foxes were unable to crack the Stags backline and find a go-ahead goal. Fairfield would have 13 shots of their own with five on net.
Makala Foley made six saves in net for the Red Foxes while the Stag's keeper Jenna Pike had five in net for Fairfield.
Hope Quinonez led the Red Foxes in shots with four.

All 11 MAAC teams will participate in this year's 5-day, single game elimination championship. First round play begins Saturday, October 28. Quarterfinal action is Sunday, October 29, followed by the semifinals on Tuesday, October 31, and the championship match on Wednesday, November 1.
