PRINCETON, New Jersey – The Marist men's tennis team completed day one at the Farnsworth Invitational Friday afternoon in Princeton, New Jersey. The Red Foxes won six matches on a day in which they competed in doubles and singles in flighted competition.

DOUBLES
SINGLES
- Schouten won his match against Lehigh's George Cooper in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2 and then moved on to defeat Middlebury's Andre Xiao, 6-3, 6-1. Siracusa fell in his first singles match to NJIT's Richard Kenga, 6-2, 6-3.
- Jan Dernic won his first singles match of the day, defeating Virginia's Jerome Romualdez, 6-2, 6-0, before falling to Middlebury's Adam Guo, 6-3, 6-0.
- Four Red Foxes battled into the third set of their matches but eventually fell. Restrepo dropped his singles match to Monmouth's Alberto Giuffilda, 6-7, 7-5, 10-6, Massa fell in his match to Princeton's Jimmy Wasserman, 6-1, 3-6, 10-7, and Siracusa lost in his match to St. John's Igor Moslov, 4-6, 6-2, 10-3.
- Chanthalangsy was the fourth Red Fox to drop a three setter, losing to Drexel's Yousef Lablou, 7-5, 3-6, 10-7, but then bounced back to defeat Virginia's Jefferson Dockter, 7-5, 6-0.

The Red Foxes will partake in more singles and doubles action Saturday afternoon with their eyes on competing on Sunday.
