HILLSIDE, New Jersey – The Marist women's soccer team dropped a non-conference match to the New Jersey Institute of Technology, 2-0, Wednesday afternoon. The loss moves the Red Foxes to 2-2 overall while the win for the Highlanders improves their season mark to 1-3.
SUMMARY
An up-and-down game with 39 shots towards goal for both teams saw the Highlanders emerge victorious as they capitalized on their chances. The Red Foxes led in shots 21-18 but NJIT finished with the 13-7 advantage in shots on goal. The Highlanders would take the lead in the 28
th minute after early play favored Marist. NJIT would then add a quick goal in the second half and hold on for victory from there.

- After Marist held a 5-0 early advantage in shots, it was NJIT that struck first with a goal from outside the box in the 28th minute.
