QUOTE:
"We're obviously disappointed in the result. I thought we weren't as sharp as we were the first two games so it kind of bit us a little bit. The guys fought and played well enough to win and I thought overall we were the better team but they found a way to score. We weren't very dangerous at times and we had to fight through some extracurriculars. They are a well coached team and are good and America East finalists for a reason last year. It's a good result to learn from and build on as the year goes on but I thought the guys should in no way shape or form not hold their heads high. They played hard and they played well." – head coach Matt Viggiano.
UP NEXT:
The Red Foxes return to action and continue their road trip on Thursday, Sept. 7
th as they face off against the American Eagles in Washington D.C. at 4 PM. American is coming off an 11-5-5 season in 2016, during which they made it to the Patriot League Championship but lost to the Colgate Red Raiders 5-4 in penalty kicks.
