POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – On Saturday morning, the Marist women's and men's basketball teams held open practices at McCann Arena.
 
Each team was on the floor for 90 minutes. The women's team took the floor first at 9 a.m., followed by the men's team at 10:30 a.m.

The Marist women's basketball team opens the 2018-19 season on Sunday, Nov. 11 at Navy. The Red Foxes play the first of their 13 home games on Friday, Nov. 16 against Boston University. The Red Foxes return 97 percent of their scoring offense and all five starters from a year ago. Head coach Brian Giorgis, who has guided the program to 10 MAAC championships and 12 berths in postseason play, is heading into his 17th season with the Red Foxes.

The Marist men's basketball team opens its first season under the leadership of head coach John Dunne on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at Army West Point. The Red Foxes open their 11-game home schedule on Saturday, Nov. 10 against Columbia.
