PRINCETON, New Jersey – Women's basketball fell to Princeton 60-57. Marist would lead by as much as 11 but would not overcome a strong third quarter from Princeton. With the loss, the Red Foxes fall to 7-3 overall.

Marist's three point shooting was on full display early on, with the Red Foxes shooting 5-for-8 in the first. Five different players scored from beyond the arch. The Red Foxes would take a 23-17 lead into the second quarter.

Princeton would cut into Marist's lead to make it a two possession game in the second quarter. The Red Foxes would use a 7-0 run to take a 37-26 lead into the half.
Rebekah Hand and
Grace Vander Weide were perfect from the field in the first half, shooting 4-for-4 and 2-for-2 respectively.

The Tigers came back in the third quarter, outscoring Marist 24-11 to take a two point lead at the end of the quarter. Princeton's defense applied pressure to the Red Foxes, limiting them to 1-for-6 from the three.

Both teams struggled to score in the fourth quarter, turning the ball over multiple times. A three from Hand tied the game up at 57 apiece. Princeton's Gabrielle Rush would respond with a three of her own to take the lead with 28 seconds left in the game. Marist had a chance to equalize, but Princeton blocked
Alana Gilmer's shot to seal the win.
